I wanted to try to create an image that looks reasonably good being as minimal and as quick as I could. Not as an exercise of any kind but mostly because I don’t have much time to work on CGI that is not directly related to my work.
So I grabbed the plane model from GrabCad.com (credits for it are to Avik Sinha) and started a quick UV packing to be able to texture it. Textures were generated with Substance Painter.
Then I added a basic environment (a road, some trees, grass and lights). Lit everything using a sunrise HDR image and added some bump mapped planes behind the plane to create the illusion of heat from the engines.
Rendered in Arion Render for 3ds Max and post-processed in Photoshop using ArionFX.
Below is a wire because, why not.
